The RICS hopes for a Sticky Wicket
The 16-strong squad, led by Knight Frank partner Shaun Roy, will depart from London today and play against five local Cape Town teams.
The team includes David McArthur (Deloitte), Richard Claxton
(Knight Frank), Rob Nelson (Doherty Baines), Sevi Rixson (Urban Student), Tom
Mees (FRT Developments), Guy Freeman (Deloitte), Daniel Roe (Trident), Andrew
Dobson (Brown Cooper Marples), Robert Haxby (Knight Frank), Paul Gummer
(Cushman & Wakefield), Robbie Rowan (Bluebook London), Peter Langly-Smith
(Reef Estates), Mark Shearer (SPG London), David Harrison (Michael Elliott) and
Will Stebbings (Knight Frank).
This is the second tour for the team, after it returned
unbeaten from Perth, Australia, in December 2006.
“We hope to emulate England and return victorious,” said
Roy. “The squad is a healthy blend of age and sector and represents the
industry admirably.”
Let’s hope the top order can withstand a Proteas seam attack
better than England.
